The Benefits of hard work

“There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure.” – Colin Powell
It’s undoubtedly true that there is no replacement for hard work, while talent can be replaced with hard work. As it goes in this saying, “Hard work beats talent when talent does not work hard.” And indeed, there is no shortcut to success, but one has to prepare oneself in such a way that the intended results may come out. This is possible when a person works hard and leaves no stone unturned to fulfill his dreams and ambitions in life.

The above saying is full of fact. It also offers an advice not to underestimate the importance of hard work regardless whether or not one is talented. Hard work is necessary if you want to get anywhere in life. Hard work is so important that even if there is a lack of talent, it can be compensated with hard work, but there is no substitute for hard work. It is said to be the stepping stone to success. Hard work does not go waste, but it pays off in the end. Thus, the work you put in is what you get out.

If you work hard and do your best, it develops the sense of satisfaction that you put enough efforts to get the results. On the one hand, hard work improves the chances of success in your mission, on the other hand, it gives you the sense that you are not at fault and you did what was required to do in order to achieve success.

How Your will power will lead to Personal Excellence

Your will is the part of the mind with which you can consciously conclude things. It’s the power to make decisions. Will is will power. It’s a choice or determination. It’s your mental power manifested as wishing or intending – The power of control over one’s own actions or emotions. Will power is important in nearly all the areas of life. The inner power and persistence provide tremendous results for everyone enabling to control unnecessary and harmful impulses.
Giving anytime or a thought to development of will power is an important thing to do in life. It is nothing but the will power that helps us empower our life to change it for the better. True, nobody’s life is perfect, at some point of time in lives; the moments make us realize that the life is not filled with perfect moments. Nevertheless, everyone has the power to better their life and make it as meaningful as possible by discovering self and being headed towards the proper direction. And it’s not that how much you know about your life, but it’s that how you live your life that counts. Hence, one should be committed to personal excellence and strive accordingly to live life of greater quality.
Personal excellence does not mean to be a perfectionist. Nobody is perfect in this world and everybody has his own virtues and flaws. By personal excellence I mean finding imperfections to refine personality including influencing and controlling the traits that need to be developed while using life’s imperfections perfectly. Therefore, it is rather important to stress that we can at least chase perfection to transform our lives in great ways. As the saying goes, “Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection, we can catch excellence.” Thus, the will to win or pursuing goals with great intensity and relentlessly will certainly payoff in the end despite the fact that it brings more pains than gains sometimes.

How poetry relates to our lives (Part 2)

Poetry is a form of literature that uses aesthetic and rhythmic qualities of language—such as phonaesthetics, sound symbolism, and metre—to evoke meanings in addition to, or in place of, the prosaic ostensible meaning. Poetry has a long history, dating back to the Sumerian Epic of Gilgamesh.
The excellence and the beauty of any poetry may be appraised on the basis of its distinctive qualities by which it gives us the pleasure of reading and enjoyment while it is a god source of delighting us.This is the uniqueness of the art of poetry that it not only lets the reader enjoy but also inspires him to know the realities of life. It is one of the best qualities of a poet to put aesthetic qualities, poetical images and the ideas in the poems and to make the reader familiar with the information relating to the various aspects of lives of the individuals.
Hardly might there be a subject or a topic that may have been left untouched by the art of poetry. In fact, most of them have been so artistically and beautifully written and presented that one cannot help appreciating while recognizing the value of poetry. It would not thus be out of place if it is said that the poetry relates to our life discussing various situations of life.

What If Others don't appreciate your efforts

Seeing what a person has to be appreciated for instead of seeing what he is missing in itself is a good thing to do. As opposed to this supposition, not everyone will appreciate what you do for them or for who you are. Though it’s a fact that a few words of appreciation can go a long way, but not everyone is appreciated in a way he or she should be. No wonder you face such situations in life when you feel you are not being appreciated or you find people being reluctant to show appreciation.
If you are a person who is suffering from lack of appreciation from others or whom the people who are much close to you don’t appreciate for the things you do, then this article might be helpful for you, as it provides the ways for dealing with feeling unappreciated.
This is replete with fact that every individual must be appreciated for his accomplishments and contributions, but, not all seem to have accepted it or feel or show willingness or enthusiasm to express appreciation towards others.
There are many reasons you may be unappreciated. Some of them may be discussed briefly: Some people don’t seem to see sometimes what they have possessed, rather, they would like to see what you have and so they want to have what you have. This is nothing but the resentful or unhappy feeling of wanting due to which neither they want to appreciate you, nor do they like you.
Another reason is jealousy.  It’s an emotion which refers to the thoughts and feelings of insecurity, threat, fear, concern and anxiety over an anticipated loss or status of something of great personal value. Since they develop negative thoughts or the thoughts of losing something valuable, they don’t appreciate you. Another simple, yet important reason is some people don’t praise others, because, if they do so, in other words, they admit that the person is better than them.

Steps to boost your Self-esteem

Remember that you can be either, the winner or the loser, as it all depends on how you think and you react. If you think positively, chances are that you can be winner. The power of positive thinking cannot be denied. Talk positively always. It is better to be with those who talk positively. Negative thinkers can not only discourage you, but can make you sick.

Comparison is not good for judging the people. So, it goes with you too. Don’t compare yourself to others. As it goes in the words of Bill Gates, “Don’t compare yourself with anyone in this world. If you do so, you are insulting yourself.”

Get into exercise habit. If you become an exercise addict and you stick at it, you can not only improve your mood, but also immune system helping you to reduce the risk of developing chronic diseases. Exercise can have a positive effect on your self-esteem.

One of worst things that does not let you improve your self-esteem is to strive for perfection. Striving for continuous improvement is far better than striving for perfection. In the former case, you can develop your self-esteem positively, while in case of latter, you can lose your hope. It is worth mentioning what has been said by Vince Lombardi, “Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection, we can achieve excellence.”

That which gives you pleasure is a good thing to do to improve your self-esteem. Spare time to do things that suit your interest best, so as to be happy and to get personal fulfillment as well. Such as reading, writing, drawing or painting, learning a language, educating yourself more. It’s not only a good way to increase your self-esteem, but a good source for overcoming your boredom - in case you feel it.

Celebrate successes even if they are small. They may be simple but can brighten your days. The little satisfying effects can enhance your positive energy. Simple pleasures can help you beat your strain and stress leading to increase your self-esteem day by day. Simple pleasures can make you feel better and make your life worth living.

This saying is noteworthy, as it helps you increase your self-esteem.  “Wanting to be someone else is a waste of the person that you are.”
